There is an increasing body of research indicating that healthy employees are more productive and absent less often.

Recent research conducted by Medibank Private* found:

  • Healthy employees are nearly 3 times more productive than employees with poor health
  • Employees with poor health take up to 9 times more sick leave than their healthy colleagues
  • Poor employee health and absenteeism is costing Australian business $7billion annually

Many employers are becoming increasingly engaged in assisting employees manage their health.  This is often motivated not only by social responsibility, but also to improve company performance.

What our clients have found…

We are proud of our many achievements.  Here’s just some of our success stories.

  • Within a large corporation experiencing increasing Work Cover premiums, we implemented a multifaceted long term wellbeing program in conjunction with periodic health monitoring.  After three years, premiums were reduced by two-thirds.
  • Within a national legal firm, we implemented a program focussed on improving the health and wellbeing of senior Executives.  The program was specifically tailored to complement the firm’s mentoring and coaching framework.  As a direct result of this program, the Executives incrementally improved their solid work performance.
  • A major government department had predicted a significant rise in Work Cover claims.  After implementing a 3 year Corporate Health program, Work Cover claims were reduced, absenteeism reduced and morale also improved.
  • A workgroup of 1000 employees were followed-up as a part of our Healthy Change program, two weeks after their Health Assessment.  Positive steps had been taken to improve 60% of the health risks identified.  Actions included visiting their GP to act on raised blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels or further health screens.  Participants had also made lifestyle changes to quit smoking, exercise more, manage stress, improve their diet and moderate alcohol intake.  Following completion of the Healthy Change program, only 5% had reversed the changes, 45% had maintained the changes and 50% had made further improvements.
